After spending several hours over the weekend drawing up my design on archicad, the building has changed in several different ways. Seeing the spaces in 3D form gives me a clearer idea of the design and also seeing the materials in a real life perspective has helped me to decide on colours and appropriate textures.

Addition of the orange glass |

Addition of the black timber cladding on exterior of the building |
I have decided to incorporate a curving walkway that acts as a shading device over the interior courtyard and outdoor exhibition space and also connects directly onto the brisbane river as a city cat stop. The walkway will eventually lead up to the top level being the green roof over the entire building. This space could be perfect for a bar / cafe area as the views are optimal and with appropriate shading / wind protection it could be a great public space.
