Design

After plenty of sketching, brainstorming and modelling I have come up with what I hope will be the final design for this project. After looking at the concepts of linkages and experiential learning in relation to animals and children I had the idea of using the structure of an ant farm to dictate my design. the main walkway that each of the spaces will protrude out of will be the main circulation space for the entire building and will create these linkages within the site, whilst also maintaining interest for the students as they will see all of the movement going in within the building. I will shortly upload my sketches for process work for this design but this image of an ant farm will give a general idea..
